What to Do While Waiting for the Emergency Crew
1. Prioritize Electrical Safety
If standing water has reached wall outlets, extension cords, or your furnace/panel, DO NOT step into the water. Turn off power at the main breaker only if safely accessible from dry ground.
2. Avoid Contact with Contaminated Water
Storm water backup can carry sanitary sewer pathogens. Keep children and pets away from flooded basement areas.
3. Document the Water Level for Insurance
Take quick photos and video showing the maximum water level, affected flooring, drywall, and furniture before water recedes.
4. Call Our 24/7 Dispatch Team
Do not submit a web contact form — call our emergency line at (236) 799-0008 immediately so our on-call truck can be dispatched with commercial extraction pumps.
